Introduction

ChatGo AI ("the App") is developed by Connor O'Dea. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

Data We Collect

• Device Identifier (UUID): A randomly generated identifier used to manage your session. It is not linked to your personal identity.
• Conversation Data: Your chat messages are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to or stored on our servers.
• Subscription Status: We use Apple StoreKit to verify your subscription status. Purchase and billing information is managed entirely by Apple.

Data We Do NOT Collect

The App does not collect your name, email address, physical location, contacts, or photos (unless you explicitly upload an image within a conversation).

Third-Party Services

• OpenAI API: When you send a message, it is transmitted to OpenAI's API for processing and to generate a response. OpenAI processes the message in accordance with their API data usage policy. Messages sent via the API are not used by OpenAI to train their models and are not retained beyond the duration needed to fulfill the request.
• Apple StoreKit: Subscription purchases and management are handled by Apple. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment data.

Data Storage and Security

All conversation data is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain server-side databases of your conversations. Messages are sent to AI providers solely for real-time processing and are not stored on our servers beyond the scope of the individual request.

No Tracking, No Ads

The App does not use analytics trackers, advertising SDKs, or any form of behavioral tracking. We do not sell, share, or monetize your data in any way.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Because conversation data is stored only on your device, you have full control over it at all times. To delete all data associated with the App, simply delete the App from your device. No server-side data deletion is necessary, as we do not store your personal data remotely.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
